Congratulation Peter!

Peter Wins Gold

This past weekend (July 12 and 13), Peter competed in the JOAD National Archery Tournament in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Despite the hot, humid, and windy environmental conditions, Peter shot a personal best score at the 70m and 30m distances, netting him the Gold Medal for the 2-day FITA rounds for the male Cadet Division.

Peter won the Cadet Division at the Junior USAT Ranking Competition in Southern Illinois. He won the FITA Event on Saturday with a personal best of 1261 (60 points better than his previous), and set a new national record at 50 m for the Cadet Division with a 322 out of possible 360. He then went on to win the Gold Medal in the Olympic Round the next day.

The NMAA and NM JOAD State Outdoor Championships are July 19, 2008. The registration deadline is July 11, 2008.
